Overview
Use Guiyang for the hotel night between a Huangguoshu waterfall day and a Xijiang Miao Village day trip. This two-day private route returns to Guiyang after each visit. It does not include a night inside Xijiang, and the second day has a late road return.
The base includes two dedicated private vehicle days with a Chinese-speaking driver, one selected Guiyang hotel night, one adult breakfast, listed adult admission and scenic buses at Huangguoshu and Xijiang, and an introductory Xijiang batik activity. English guiding is a separate request.

Route Map
Follow the itinerary in travel order.
Route schematic; not to scale or for navigation. See the Daily Itinerary for individual visits, optional activities and access conditions.
Two touring days with one Guiyang night
| Day | Programme | Night |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Guiyang pickup; Huangguoshu visitor areas; return to Guiyang | Selected Guiyang hotel |
| 2 | Xijiang daytime visit and introductory batik; late return to Guiyang | Not included |
Choose the city night or a village night
This arrangement suits travellers who prefer a city hotel between excursions and want waterfall scenery plus a Miao village visit. It avoids checking into a village guesthouse, but it adds a return to Guiyang rather than moving onward after Huangguoshu. Neither touring day is a short city outing.
If an evening and morning inside Xijiang are the main reason for travelling, compare the two-day Xijiang and Qingyan route or the two-day Xiaoqikong and Xijiang programme. Their overnight locations differ. For waterfall, Libo and Xijiang together, the five-day classic Guizhou circuit is the more relevant comparison.
Day one: Huangguoshu, then back to the city
Start from the agreed Guiyang pickup and travel to the operating Huangguoshu visitor areas. The planned visit includes Tianxingqiao, Doupotang and the main waterfall setting. Adult main admission and the specified scenic buses are included.
Wet paths, steps and walking between stops remain part of the day. An extra escalator is separate from the normal base, and Water Curtain Cave entry depends on the available park arrangements. Do not treat its presence in a route description as guaranteed entry.
Return to the selected Guiyang hotel after the visit. The hotel night is included; lunch, dinner and independent evening transport are separate. Send the preferred twin or double arrangement and any room-access needs before the property is selected.
Day two: Xijiang and introductory batik
After breakfast, make the road journey to Xijiang. Use open village lanes and viewing areas at a pace that leaves room for the included introductory batik activity and the return drive. Main adult admission and specified village scenic transport are included.

The listed craft activity uses a small cloth and allows you to take away the finished item. It is an introduction, not a specialist textile course or a private home visit. The instructor’s presence does not establish English instruction. Ask about communication support and suitability for your children before the session is fixed.
Costume photography, private performances, extra workshops and hosted meals are separate. Ask before taking close portraits or entering private homes. A daytime visit also does not promise the illuminated evening view often associated with Xijiang.
What is included?
| Item | Included base | Separate or conditional |
|---|---|---|
| Road service | Two private touring days with Chinese-speaking driver; agreed destination transfers | English guide, sightseeing interpretation and extra detours |
| Hotel and meals | One selected Guiyang night and one adult breakfast; listed child breakfast subject to hotel height and room rules | Other meals, drinks, breakfast supplement for a child outside the selected hotel entitlement |
| Visits and activity | Listed adult main admission and specified scenic buses at both sites; introductory small-cloth batik | Extra escalators, private activities, costume hire and any child costs outside the selected entitlement |
Children and departure planning
This programme uses an adult band from thirteen and a child band from two to under thirteen. The usual child accommodation base shares an adult bed. The listed breakfast arrangement normally covers two adults and one child under 1.2 metres per room; a taller child may need a supplement. Send ages, heights and room occupancy so the proposal can state the actual entitlement.
Child admission and scenic-transport benefits must be applied to the selected booking and document, rather than treated as a universal free-entry rule for every child or nationality. Groups of nine or more may request the listed Mandarin guide arrangement for touring sections; it does not establish English guiding or a guide on every transfer.
The second day returns late by road. Keep a further Guiyang night or a later departure in mind, and send the actual flight or train for a workable plan. Do not rely on an early-evening connection after Xijiang. If rain or closure changes the available walk or activity, agree the alternative and any price adjustment before replacing it.
Arrange your party and departure
Use Plan My Trip to send travel dates, party size, children’s ages, preferred room arrangement, luggage count, walking limits and your arrival and departure details. Add any language, halal dining, allergy or prayer-break requirements. An ordinary hotel breakfast is not represented as halal-certified. The initial enquiry needs your nationality and document type for planning, not a passport image.
Travel with the original document matching your hotel and attraction bookings. Your proposal will identify the vehicle, rooms, meeting point, return arrangement and any supplements. Price is on request; travel to and from Guiyang and personal travel insurance are separate.
Compare the Guizhou private tour collection, use Guiyang as the gateway and browse city and scenic journeys or cultural routes.
Plan the practical details
Use Guizhou itinerary and regional choices, Huangguoshu walking and cave reservations, Xijiang overnight, rooms and luggage to match the route with your walking, hotel and transfer needs.
