- An overnight in Xijiang leaves time for the illuminated hillside and a morning village walk.
Overview
Spend a night in Xijiang Miao Village, then visit Qingyan Ancient Town before returning to Guiyang. This two-day, one-night private journey is for travellers who want village lanes and an evening in Xijiang without adding Libo or Huangguoshu. The base includes a Chinese-speaking driver, two days of private road transport, one guesthouse night and the listed adult visits. Meals are separate.
This is a driver-led transport arrangement, with independent sightseeing inside the attractions. English interpretation and an accompanying cultural guide are separate requests. Choose the two-day schedule when an overnight in Xijiang matters more than covering several distant scenic areas.
Two days and one night at a glance
| Day | Route and main visit | Overnight |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Agreed Guiyang pickup → Xijiang Miao Village; village walks and evening views | Selected guesthouse inside Xijiang |
| 2 | Xijiang morning → Qingyan Ancient Town → agreed Guiyang return | None |
Why stay overnight in Xijiang?
The overnight creates time for both an evening and a following morning in the village. Explore public lanes, riverside spaces and the open visitor areas around the timber buildings. The viewing area offers a different perspective from walking through the streets. Museum access and any public performance follow the operating arrangements on the day; no particular show, ceremony or hosted home visit is guaranteed.
This route does not include Xiaoqikong’s forest pools or Zhaoxing Dong Village. Compare the two-day Libo and Zhaoxing journey if those are your priorities. For a longer nature-led trip, choose the five-day Huangguoshu, Libo and Xijiang itinerary. Combining all of them requires a different schedule.
Pickup and the final connection
The base provides an agreed Guiyang pickup and return arrangement. Pickup addresses are available in the listed city districts of Yunyan, Huaxi, Baiyun, Nanming, Wudang and Guanshanhu, with selected airport and railway pickup points also available. Send the exact address or arrival service so the meeting location and timing can be set out in your proposal.
The listed transfer points include Guiyang Longdongbao Airport and Guiyang, Guiyang North, Guiyang East and Longdongbao railway stations. Availability of a transfer point does not mean any arrival or departure time fits the sightseeing schedule. An arrival late on day one leaves less village time. Staying in Guiyang the previous night may be more practical for an unhurried start.
The second day includes the drive from Xijiang, a Qingyan visit and the return to Guiyang. Do not attach an early flight or train to that day. Agree the final drop-off and the time needed for departure procedures before purchasing your onward ticket. Road conditions, queues and walking pace can change the day’s timing.
Guesthouse access and luggage
One night is in the selected Xijiang guesthouse on a standard adult twin-share basis. Village accommodation sits among sloping lanes and timber buildings; room access can involve steps and walking from a scenic-shuttle stop. Outside road vehicles do not take guests directly to every property. Share mobility needs before choosing the accommodation.
Pack a small overnight bag and agree the storage arrangement for larger cases with the driver. A village stay differs from a city hotel in access, sound insulation and facilities. The proposal names the selected property and room type; no particular room view or international star rating is promised here.
Included services and separate costs
| Item | Base arrangement | Separate or conditional |
|---|---|---|
| Road transport | Private vehicle and Chinese-speaking driver for the agreed two-day itinerary; selected Guiyang pickup and return | Transport during independent free time and unagreed route extensions |
| Accommodation | One guesthouse night inside Xijiang; adult twin-share | Single rooms, extra beds and the actual child room entitlement |
| Visits | Listed adult main admissions at Xijiang and Qingyan, with the scenic transport specified in the itinerary | Child admission, extra paid activities, costume rental and purchases |
| Meals and guiding | Choose and pay for meals independently | All meals, including breakfast; sightseeing guide and English interpretation |
The named scenic transport belongs to the selected admission arrangement, not unrestricted transport within either attraction. Have the ticket and ride breakdown included in the written proposal. Any insurance associated with an admission ticket is distinct from personal travel insurance. Flights or trains to and from Guiyang are outside the land programme.
Children, walking and village visits
This base programme does not accept children under two. Travellers under eighteen need an accompanying adult. Child admission is not included in the child arrangement; bed entitlement also differs from the standard adult package. Send each child’s age and room needs so transport, tickets, beds and meals can be separated correctly.
Qingyan’s stone lanes and Xijiang’s slopes can be slippery in wet weather. Wear shoes with grip and carry rain protection. Describe steps, balance or pushchair needs before booking; a scenic shuttle does not make all village paths step-free. Ask before close photographs of residents or entering private buildings.
Tell us about halal dining, allergies and prayer requirements before the trip. Meals are independent choices, and a local restaurant or guesthouse should not be assumed to provide halal catering. Bring the original travel document used for admission and accommodation. Nationality and document type help arrange the actual hotel registration and ticket procedures; no passport copy is needed for the first route enquiry.
Explore the destination and themes
Plan the start and finish with Guiyang as your gateway to Guizhou. Compare food, craft and culture journeys for a stronger village or workshop focus, and city and sightseeing tours for other regional outings. This programme does not include a food-tasting session or a craft workshop.
Request this village overnight
Send your dates, party size, Guiyang pickup point, arrival and departure details, room preferences and walking or language needs through Plan My Trip. Your written proposal will identify the guesthouse, vehicle, selected transfers and ticket scope. Price on request.

Daily Itinerary
Meet your driver at the agreed Guiyang address, airport or railway point, then travel to Xijiang. Use the open visitor areas for an independent village walk, with time around the lanes, public spaces and viewing area. The driver handles the road journey and meeting arrangements rather than providing a guided cultural commentary.
Check in to the selected guesthouse inside the village and keep a small bag for the walk from the shuttle stop. Spend the evening around the village at your own pace. Meals, drinks, costume rental and extra activities are separate; any public performance follows local operating arrangements.

Use the morning for more time in Xijiang, then meet the driver for the journey to Qingyan Ancient Town. Walk the stone streets and public visitor areas at a pace that fits the remaining day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are separate costs.
After Qingyan, return to the agreed Guiyang drop-off. Selected airport and railway returns can be included when they fit the written programme, but an early connection does not fit a full village-and-old-town sightseeing day. Confirm the onward departure before fixing the booking.
