Overview
Walk Xiaoqikong’s water-and-forest paths, then spend a night in Xijiang Miao Village before returning to Guiyang. This two-day private route is for travellers who want a nature visit and a village overnight within one short break. Day one combines the Xiaoqikong visit with the onward drive to Xijiang, so expect a full travel day rather than an early guesthouse check-in.
The base includes private road transport with a Chinese-speaking driver, one Xijiang accommodation night and one adult breakfast. Attraction admission and scenic transport are separate. The driver handles the road journey and meeting arrangements; a sightseeing guide and English interpretation are separate requests.

Two days, with the night in Xijiang
| Day | Route and experience | Overnight |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Agreed Guiyang pickup → Xiaoqikong → Xijiang; nature paths first, village check-in after the road transfer | Selected accommodation inside Xijiang |
| 2 | Xijiang village lanes and viewing areas → agreed Guiyang return | None |
Choose this short break for the right reasons
Xiaoqikong provides the nature focus: pools, cascades, forest and the bridge area along the open visitor route. Xijiang supplies the overnight setting, with hillside buildings, public lanes and time in the village the following morning. There is no Huangguoshu day, Dong-village visit or extra Guiyang hotel night in this programme.
For a Dong-village alternative, compare the two-day Xiaoqikong and Zhaoxing route. If you prefer more time in Xijiang with an old-town visit, choose the Xijiang overnight and Qingyan journey. Their accommodation locations, meals and ticket scope differ; the shared two-day length does not make them interchangeable.
Walking time and the first evening
Choose the Xiaoqikong paths around your party’s walking pace. Seeing every visitor section can take more time than a shorter pool-and-waterfall route. Paid sightseeing transport reduces some transfers but does not remove steps, damp surfaces or walking between stops. Agree the final meeting point before entering, and keep the later road transfer in mind.
Arriving late in Guiyang on day one reduces the time available for Xiaoqikong. A Guiyang hotel the previous night is often the more practical start for this schedule. Do not add Daqikong or another distant attraction to the day without revising the itinerary. Any boat ride or extra paid activity needs its own time and cost arrangement.
Check in at the selected Xijiang accommodation after the onward drive. Carry a small overnight bag for the village approach and agree what happens to larger cases. Sloping lanes and steps can separate a shuttle stop from a guesthouse; a private road vehicle does not deliver luggage to every property.
Services and separate expenses
| Item | Included base | Separate or conditional |
|---|---|---|
| Road transport | Private vehicle and Chinese-speaking driver for the agreed two-day itinerary; selected Guiyang pickup and return | Independent free-time transport, unagreed detours and sightseeing guide or English interpretation |
| Accommodation | One Xijiang night on standard adult twin-share terms | Single rooms and the actual child bed entitlement; no particular view or international star rating promised |
| Meals | One adult breakfast on day two | Other adult meals, all child meals and drinks |
| Attractions | Scheduled road journey to Xiaoqikong and Xijiang | Xiaoqikong admission, Xijiang admission, scenic transport, boats and other paid activities |
Guiyang pickup and the final connection
The listed city pickup districts are Yunyan, Huaxi, Baiyun, Nanming, Wudang and Guanshanhu. Selected airport and railway points are also available: Longdongbao Airport and Guiyang, Guiyang North, Guiyang East and Longdongbao stations. Send the exact address or arrival service before choosing the meeting point.
The second day includes village time and the drive back to Guiyang. Availability of an airport or railway drop-off does not mean any departure time fits. Have your onward flight or train checked against the written programme before buying the ticket. An early departure requires a different schedule; if you want an unhurried village morning, a final Guiyang night may be the better choice.
Children, room access and food needs
The listed adult band begins at twelve, with a child band from two to under twelve. The child base shares an adult bed and excludes meals; one adult travelling with one child requires a separate room or bed arrangement in the booking. Send every child’s age and sleeping needs, and ask about younger children before selecting the programme. Travellers under eighteen need an accompanying adult.
Wear shoes with grip and discuss knee, balance, wheelchair or pushchair needs before fixing the walks and accommodation. Village scenery and a scenic shuttle do not establish a step-free route. Wet paths and village slopes call for a pace that leaves time to rejoin the driver without rushing.
Tell us about halal dining, allergies and prayer needs in advance. The included adult breakfast is not represented as halal-certified. Lunches and dinner are independent choices, and meal or prayer breaks should fit the actual road stages. Bring the original travel document used for admission and accommodation; nationality and document type help arrange the appropriate booking procedures.

Adults have the included breakfast; child breakfast is separate. Use the available time for the village’s public lanes, viewing areas and open visitor facilities. No hosted home visit, private performance, costume hire or craft session is promised in the base.
