The three-day Dali and Lijiang routes each use one base and one main session. The six-day Dali and Lijiang itinerary adds a cultural or pre-agreed weather-reserve day and gives the city transfer its own space. The five-day Shaxi and Lugu Lake routes keep road travel separate from the portrait day. The seven-day route ends gently in Shangri-La rather than packing three full productions into one week.
Daily notes draw on our existing Dali village, Lijiang heritage, Shaxi artisan, Lugu Lake, Jianshui, Heshun and Xishuangbanna journeys. Expect more than a sequence of camera stops: a Bai village snack, a seated tea break, a booked tie-dye or pottery visit, and enough time to notice the place. These optional activities are matched to your dates and the agreed photography coverage.
How a portrait day can flow
- Prepare comfortably: allow the agreed time for hair, makeup, dressing and travel from a suitable preparation room.
- Start with one main setting: a focused sequence gives the photographer time for natural expressions, gown details and couple portraits.
- Pause for lunch and a rest: build in refreshments, touch-ups and a private place to change.
- Use a second light window if booked: a shorter later session can add variety without rushing across the destination.
- Finish with an easy evening: enjoy dinner and agree the image-selection process with the team.
What your tailored quotation should confirm
Share your travel dates, preferred route, budget, approximate number of outfits and the style of portraits you like. The written proposal should name the photographer and styling arrangements, coverage hours, language support, transport, accommodation, meals, admission and any commercial location fees. If you bring your own photographer, we can plan the ground journey around that team’s confirmed schedule.
Agree the number of edited images, original-file access, delivery dates, revision rounds and any album or video separately. A sample route does not automatically include a full photography package. Choose from the actual team’s recent portfolio and discuss clothing sizes, fitting appointments, assistants and garment transport before confirming.
Season, weather and location planning
Outdoor light, flowers, lake reflections and visible mountain peaks vary. Keep a practical weather alternative and add a reserve night when the main landscape is central to your plans. A free day only holds the photographer when the contract says so. In tropical Xishuangbanna, shade and a long midday break matter; in Shangri-La, choose a gentle pace and warmer layers.
Commercial portrait access is checked for the exact venue and activity. Stay on permitted paths, keep public routes clear and arrange private changing space. Religious interiors, working fields and protected lake margins are not automatic sets. Drone use is a separate request governed by current local permissions and operating conditions.
