Overview
Use three full touring days to connect Huangguoshu Waterfall, Libo’s Xiaoqikong and an overnight in Xijiang Miao Village. This private journey starts in Guiyang on the first morning, stays in Libo and Xijiang, and returns to Guiyang on day three. It is an intensive circuit with substantial road travel, especially after the first waterfall visit.
The included base has a private vehicle with a Chinese-speaking driver, two selected hotel nights, listed adult admission and specified scenic transport. Huangguoshu’s round-trip escalator is included in this programme. Breakfast is determined by your chosen room package; it is not an automatic daily inclusion. English guiding requires a separate arrangement.

Three touring days and two different overnight bases
| Day | Route and visits | Overnight |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Morning Guiyang pickup; selected Huangguoshu walking areas; onward road transfer | Libo |
| 2 | Xiaoqikong nature paths; onward transfer and village check-in | Xijiang |
| 3 | Xijiang village time and one selected available cultural activity; return to Guiyang | None |
Who should choose the three-day circuit?
Choose it when your party wants all three destinations and accepts early starts, changing accommodation and some evening road travel. There are no arrival-only or departure-only days hidden inside the headline duration. Arrive in Guiyang before the first morning; an additional Guiyang hotel night is separate.
This is a more demanding option than the two-day Xiaoqikong and Xijiang journey, which omits Huangguoshu. For a longer version with more room around connections, compare the five-day Guizhou private programme and check its actual hotel and touring sequence. Adding days does not automatically mean the same inclusions.
Guests who prefer a single hotel base, need frequent long rests or want several unhurried hours at every waterfall section should request a different pace. Send walking limits and children’s ages before selecting this combination. Private transport changes who shares your vehicle; it does not shorten the distances between these regions.
Day one: a waterfall visit followed by the Libo transfer

Meet the driver in Guiyang in the morning. Agree which parts of Huangguoshu are priorities, rather than promising every path at the same pace. The programme can cover the main waterfall, Doupotang and selected Tianxingqiao paths, but the final walking plan must leave room for the substantial onward road journey.
The base includes Huangguoshu main admission, the specified scenic bus and round-trip main escalator. These are different services: the escalator does not make the entire scenic area step-free. Tianxingqiao’s optional cableway and other unlisted rides are separate.
Water Curtain Cave needs its own operating access and reservation. Main admission and an escalator ticket do not guarantee a cave slot. The Huangguoshu walking and booking guide explains how to compare the visitor areas. Keep a workable departure from the park; Libo check-in may be late, so arrange dinner and necessary medication around that travel stage.
Day two: Xiaoqikong before the Xijiang night
After the Libo night, follow the agreed Xiaoqikong route with admission and the listed internal sightseeing transport. Choose the pools, cascades and forest sections according to walking conditions and the party’s pace. A bus between visitor areas does not remove wet paths or the walk from a stop to a named viewpoint.
Confirm the entrance, final exit and driver meeting point before entering. Keep a reachable contact method and carry documents, valuables, water and rain protection. Boat rides and additional activities are not automatically included. The programme does not promise to add a full Daqikong excursion to the same day.
Continue to Xijiang after the visit. The selected guesthouse is inside the village, with the actual location and room type agreed in your proposal. An internal shuttle may leave a final approach on lanes and steps. Pack a small overnight bag and agree secure arrangements for larger cases; do not assume a road vehicle or porter can deliver them to every room.
Day three: village time without an overloaded departure

Use the morning for public lanes, viewing areas and a selected cultural activity. The listed programme offers one available introductory experience, with batik, another seasonal activity or a costume-related option depending on arrangements. Choose one before travel; it is not a promise that every workshop, meal and photography service is included.
For batik, agree the actual session and what can be taken away. English instruction and professional travel photography are separate requests. Do not rely on a seasonal field activity, a public performance or an evening event without a dated arrangement. Respect residents’ homes and ask before photographing people.
The return to Guiyang is another road stage. Send your exact onward train or flight before booking, and agree the latest workable village departure and check-in buffer. An airport drop-off is not a guarantee that an early afternoon flight fits. The Xijiang lodging and luggage guide helps with the accommodation approach and departure planning.
What the base includes, and what needs its own arrangement
| Item | Included base | Separate or conditional |
|---|---|---|
| Transport | Private vehicle and Chinese-speaking driver during the agreed circuit; specified Guiyang meeting and finish | English guide, free-time trips and additional detours |
| Hotels | One Libo night and one Xijiang night in selected rooms | Single-room supplements, child beds and breakfast entitlement by room package |
| Admissions and scenic transport | Listed adult Huangguoshu, Xiaoqikong and Xijiang admission; specified buses; Huangguoshu round-trip escalator | Additional boats, Tianxingqiao cableway, unlisted experiences and any applicable child supplements |
| Cultural activity | One selected available introductory option in Xijiang | Several activities together, photography packages, private English tuition or guaranteed performances |
Meals, children and practical comfort
Other meals are separate, and hotel breakfast depends on the selected booking. Tell the planner about allergies, vegetarian meals, halal requirements and prayer breaks. Ordinary hotel breakfast and a local restaurant are not represented as halal-certified. A long road day makes it especially useful to agree food stops before departure.
Child admission, height rules, bedding and vehicle seats must be checked for the actual party. Do not assume an adult package or a domestic visitor concession applies to every child holding a foreign passport. The route can be discussed for a family, but the first-day transfer and frequent hotel changes remain part of the decision.
Request the route for your dates
Send dates, party size, children’s ages, twin or double room preferences, luggage count, arrival and departure details, walking limits and language requirements through Plan My Trip. Include halal dining, allergies and prayer breaks. An ordinary hotel breakfast is not represented as halal-certified; English guiding needs its own arrangement.
Bring the original document used for hotel and attraction bookings. Nationality and document type help arrange registration; a passport image is not required for the initial enquiry. Your proposal will identify the rooms, vehicle, meeting point, ticket scope and supplements. Price on request.
Explore Guiyang as the gateway, compare the Guizhou private tour collection and browse city and scenic journeys or cultural routes.
For the next planning step, compare the Guizhou duration guide and the Xiaoqikong entrance and transport guide before sending your dates.
Daily Itinerary
Start from the agreed Guiyang meeting point in the morning. Visit the selected Huangguoshu areas with main admission, scenic bus and round-trip escalator, then continue by road to Libo. Keep the walking programme compatible with the onward transfer. Water Curtain Cave is subject to separate reservation and safe access.
Stay: Libo. Meals: Separate.
Use the agreed Xiaoqikong visitor route, with listed main admission and sightseeing transport. Continue to Xijiang, change to local access arrangements and walk to the selected accommodation. Carry an overnight bag and agree where larger cases remain. Additional boating is separate.
Stay: Xijiang. Meals: Breakfast only if included in your selected room; other meals separate.
Allow village time and one selected available introductory cultural option. Meet the driver for the agreed road return to Guiyang and the specified final address or transport connection. The plan must match your actual onward check-in needs; there is no additional hotel night.
Stay: None. Meals: Breakfast only if included in your selected room; other meals separate.
