3-Day Mengku and Bingdao Tea Journey
Overview
3-Day Mengku and Bingdao Tea Journey: A focused Shuangjiang/Mengku tea stay, with one base and a prearranged origin conversation instead of a long circuit through every famous tea mountain.
For tea drinkers curious about provenance. A village name on a shop sign is not proof that the served tea comes from a particular tree or plot.
Travel illustrations show the style of the journey, rather than actual customers or a guaranteed venue.
Route and overnight plan
| Day | Main plan | Overnight |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Lincang to the Mengku area | Mengku or Shuangjiang |
| 2 | Bingdao-area tea landscapes and an origin discussion | Mengku or Shuangjiang |
| 3 | A slower morning and return to Lincang | Departure |
Make the experience fit your visit
Lincang is both a city and a large region. Fengqing, Bangdong/Xigui and Mengku need different road plans; do not treat them as neighboring city stops.
| Decide before booking | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Experience depth | A cafe opening does not grant access to a tea garden, processing room or private home. Producer appointments and English interpretation are arranged separately in the written proposal. |
| Walking and comfort | Tell us about stairs, uneven paths, motion sickness, child seats and luggage. Ask the host about toilets and the nearest vehicle access. |
| Food and caffeine | State allergies, vegetarian or halal requirements and caffeine limits. A local restaurant or tea host does not automatically meet a requested dietary standard. |
| If conditions change | A hosted tasting or town heritage walk replaces a wet hillside activity. The host decides whether a production or harvest visit can take place. |
What the enquiry covers
This is a customizable private itinerary proposal. Named regions and suggested visits describe the route; the written quotation identifies the available hosts, accommodation and services for your dates. A driver, an English-speaking guide and a specialist producer are different roles. Ask which are included on each day. There is no fixed departure or guaranteed group size on this page.
Request a price breakdown for vehicle and driver, guiding or interpretation, rooms, meals, admission, tastings and workshops. Optional purchases are your choice. Travel insurance, flights, trains and transfers outside the agreed route must be addressed separately; no insurance cover is implied by an itinerary description.

Daily Itinerary
Travel from Lincang to the selected Mengku/Shuangjiang accommodation. Keep the arrival afternoon for an introductory tasting and a discussion of the next day’s host. Obtain the location in Chinese and agree which village or garden is actually included. Avoid committing to expensive tea purchases before comparing samples and understanding the seller’s documentation.
Overnight: Mengku or Shuangjiang.

Visit the agreed Bingdao-area village or tea host according to access and producer availability. Stay on permitted paths and do not assume every ancient tree is open for visitors to approach or pick. Use a guided tasting to ask about village, season, processing and storage. The route is a cultural visit, not an authentication service or a guaranteed purchase opportunity.
Overnight: Mengku or Shuangjiang.
Allow time to revisit tasting notes over breakfast before returning to Lincang. Any additional garden stop must fit the departure window and be agreed with its owner. Keep tea purchases labeled and ask the seller for a receipt. If weather affects the road, prioritize the return and leave an optional tasting out of the program.
Overnight: Departure.
