Daily Itinerary

Arrival in KunmingWelcome to Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, often known as the "City of Eternal Spring" for its pleasant climate. Upon arrival, our local driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your comfortable 4-star hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax after your flight or explore the nearby streets at your own pace before your Yunnan adventure begins.

After breakfast, travel to the UNESCO-listed Stone Forest, one of China's most spectacular karst landscapes, where towering limestone formations have been shaped by nature over millions of years. Return to Kunming to visit the historic Yuantong Temple before enjoying a leisurely walk through Green Lake Park, a favorite gathering place for local residents. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner featuring Yunnan's famous Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodles.

Take a high-speed train to Dali and visit the iconic Three Pagodas and Chongsheng Temple, one of Yunnan's most important Buddhist landmarks. Continue to Erhai Lake, where you'll enjoy beautiful lakeside scenery with the Cangshan Mountains in the background. Later, spend some free time exploring Dali Ancient Town, known for its traditional Bai architecture, charming streets and vibrant cafés.

After breakfast, visit the lively Xizhou Morning Market, where local residents buy fresh produce, traditional snacks and handmade products. It's a great place to experience the everyday life of the Bai people before exploring Xizhou Ancient Town, known for its well-preserved Bai architecture and peaceful streets. Continue to Zhoucheng Village to learn about the traditional Bai tie-dye technique, an important part of the region's intangible cultural heritage.

In the afternoon, travel to Shangri-La, a gateway to the Tibetan Plateau. As the scenery changes from lakeside villages to mountain landscapes, you'll begin to experience the unique atmosphere of northwest Yunnan.

Spend the day exploring Shangri-La, beginning with Pudacuo National Park, where alpine lakes, forests and meadows showcase the natural beauty of the Tibetan Plateau. Later, visit Songzanlin Monastery, the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan, and learn about local religious traditions.

In the afternoon, stroll through Dukezong Ancient Town, one of the oldest towns along the Tea Horse Road. In the evening, enjoy a special visit to a local Tibetan family, where you can experience traditional hospitality and taste yak butter tea.

Leave Shangri-La for Lijiang, stopping at the spectacular Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest river canyons in the world. Continue to the First Bend of the Yangtze River before arriving in Lijiang. Later, explore the UNESCO-listed Lijiang Old Town, famous for its cobbled streets, canals and traditional Naxi architecture, followed by a visit to the peaceful Black Dragon Pool.

Today's journey takes you to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, one of Yunnan's most iconic natural landmarks. Ride the cable car to enjoy panoramic mountain views before visiting the crystal-clear Blue Moon Valley at the foot of the mountain. After lunch, continue to Baisha Ancient Town to admire its historic murals and discover the origins of Naxi culture. If time permits, you may also visit the quieter Shuhe Ancient Town before returning to Lijiang.
