Who this route suits
This route suits visitors who want both Shandong’s inland city culture and peninsula coast without adding Linyi and Qufu. A return flight that lands overseas the following day may make the whole journey span eight calendar dates; the land itinerary remains seven days and six hotel nights. Both versions have intercity travel, while the spring option uses two Qingdao nights and no Weihai night.
Route and overnight plan
7 days in China · 6 hotel nights · Start: Jinan · Finish: Jinan.
| Day | Route and focus | Overnight |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Jinan arrival and Mingshui | Mingshui / Jinan area |
| 2 | Zibo and Weifang | Weifang |
| 3 | Penglai and Yantai | Yantai |
| 4 | Yantai to Weihai | Weihai |
| 5 | Weihai coast to Qingdao | Qingdao |
| 6 | Qingdao brewing heritage and return to Jinan | Jinan |
| 7 | Jinan lake and departure | Departure; no hotel night |
Spring flower version: a different overnight sequence
For a spring-focused holiday, request this full alternative before hotels are booked. It uses the same seven local days and six nights but replaces the Weihai overnight with an additional Qingdao night. It is an alternative to the regular programme, not seven extra days added to it. Flowers depend on the season and current conditions; no single departure guarantees plum blossom, tulips, peonies and rapeseed together.
| Day | Spring route | Overnight |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Jinan arrival → Mingshui; canals and any available spring flowers | Mingshui / Jinan area |
| 2 | Zibo Haidai Lou and Badaju → Weifang Yangjiabu; kite-making if booked | Weifang |
| 3 | Penglai Eight Immortals Crossing → Yantai waterfront; tulips only if flowering | Yantai |
| 4 | Selected Weihai sights → Qingdao; Shimei An plum stop only if conditions fit | Qingdao |
| 5 | Qingdao Beer Museum, Zhanqiao and Dabaodao / Zhongshan Road | Qingdao |
| 6 | Zhongshan Park and Badaguan; selected Olympic Sailing Centre walk → Jinan | Jinan |
| 7 | Daming Lake and old lanes; boat ride only if separately booked → departure | Departure; no hotel night |
At Mingshui, choose the canal streets and Li Qingzhao-related visit; a nearby flower field is optional when flowering and accessible. In Weifang, Yangjiabu can focus on kite traditions, with a hands-on activity only if arranged. A peony garden is a possible substitution, not a guaranteed extra. Around Yantai, a Fisherman’s Wharf or Yumeiren Square walk can replace wine-focused time. The Weihai-to-Qingdao day remains a substantial transfer: skip the Shimei An flower stop if bloom, opening or road conditions do not suit. In Qingdao, use Zhongshan Park and Badaguan as city walks even when particular flowers have finished. Return to Jinan on day six and keep the final lake visit compatible with departure. The spring version does not automatically add wine museum admission, a boat, costumes, workshops or evening shows.
Comfort, meals and practical choices
The regular overnight order is Mingshui/Jinan area, Weifang, Yantai, Weihai, Qingdao and Jinan. The spring alternative is Mingshui/Jinan area, Weifang, Yantai, Qingdao, Qingdao and Jinan. Both total six hotel nights. Do not compare a domestic booking platform’s diamond label directly with an international star rating: ask for exact hotel names, room types and twin/double arrangements. The reference meal pattern can be quoted as six breakfasts and twelve main meals if requested, but the current written proposal must specify the actual meal count, menus, excluded meals and dietary arrangements. Chinese-language guiding appears in the reference programme; English guiding must be specifically requested and confirmed. Flower gardens, boats, costumes and performances are separate choices unless expressly listed.
Price and the services to put in writing
Price on request. Send your dates, number of adults and children, visitor nationalities, arrival and departure details, preferred room arrangement and the amount of luggage. Tell Vero Trip about walking limits, wheelchair or stroller needs, dietary requirements and the language of explanation you need. We can use these details to discuss a suitable route and request a dated written proposal.
| Ask the proposal to identify | What to check |
|---|---|
| Hotels and meals | Actual properties, room types, hotel nights, breakfast count, named prepaid meals and meals payable separately. |
| Transport and guiding | Vehicle and luggage capacity, driver and guide arrangements, guide language, daily scope and any separate arrival/departure transfers. |
| Attractions and activities | Named admission tickets, interior visits, boats, performances, golf or workshop fees; optional items and operating restrictions. |
| Booking conditions | The receiving provider, passport/admission requirements, insurance scope, tips, payment schedule and cancellation terms for the actual services. |
Flights, trains, visas, personal travel insurance, shopping, alcoholic drinks and optional activities are separate unless the accepted proposal explicitly includes them. A suggested hotel style, stop or photograph does not establish a room, ticket or service reservation. Agency liability insurance, where offered, is different from personal travel insurance. Accept an itinerary change only after agreeing its effect on the route, nights, costs and booking conditions.
Frequently asked questions
Which version should we choose?
Choose the regular version for a Weihai overnight and more wine-heritage emphasis. Choose the spring version for two Qingdao nights and flower-oriented substitutions, accepting that blooms are weather-dependent.
Does this include Penglai Pavilion?
The regular and spring outlines use Eight Immortals Crossing (Baxiandu). Penglai Pavilion is a separate attraction; request it by name if that is your priority.
Is this seven or eight days?
There are seven days and six hotel nights in China. Any extra date created by an international overnight flight is separate from the land programme.

Daily Itinerary
Continue from Jinan arrival towards Mingshui for the first night. An earlier arrival may allow a separately agreed Jiuru Mountain visit, but it should not be promised after every flight or treated as guaranteed autumn colour or winter ice scenery. Enjoy the town’s canal setting at a sensible pace. Night programmes depend on the actual calendar and the ticket selected.
Overnight: Mingshui / Jinan area.
Visit Zibo for Qi-culture museum time and selected Haidai Lou and Badaju stops, then continue to Weifang for kite heritage. Specify whether you want the kite museum or a different cultural visit before confirming the day. Market meals and purchases should remain personal choices unless a particular meal appears in the accepted proposal. Stay in Weifang.
Overnight: Weifang.
Continue towards Penglai’s Eight Immortals Crossing scenic area, also called Baxiandu, then travel into Yantai for selected Golden Beach, Suochengli and Chaoyang Street time. Eight Immortals Crossing is distinct from Penglai Pavilion; this regular route does not automatically include both admissions. Sleep in Yantai. Agree a reduced city walk if the first attraction or road journey takes longer than expected.
Overnight: Yantai.
Visit Changyu Wine Museum if it fits the opening calendar, with optional tasting arrangements stated separately. Continue to Weihai for selected stops such as Torch Eight Street and Yuehai Park. Leave time to sit down and reach the hotel rather than filling every gap with another coastal viewpoint. Spend the night in Weihai in the regular version.
Overnight: Weihai.
Choose coastal scenery towards the Blueways wreck shore-viewing area and, in the appropriate season, a swan-viewing area before travelling to Qingdao. Keep wildlife viewing quiet and do not feed birds. In Qingdao, select a Zhanqiao and Dabaodao walk according to arrival time. This is a transfer day, so lengthy visits at every stop need a longer holiday. Stay in Qingdao.
Overnight: Qingdao.
Choose Beer Museum and a manageable Badaguan walk, with Taitong as a possible food stop. Continue to Jinan for the final night rather than departing internationally from Qingdao. A brewery-themed hotel in Qingdao can be requested by actual property name and availability; it is not a guaranteed hotel or an international star category attached to this route.
Overnight: Jinan.
Use the remaining time for Daming Lake and a selected Furong Street or old-lane walk, then travel to the agreed Jinan departure point. Chaoran Tower can be viewed as the route permits, without promising an evening illumination programme before every flight. Early departures require fewer city stops. No additional hotel night or automatic lake boat ride is included in the day description.
Overnight: Departure; no hotel night.
