This private 4-day Puer tour combines a flexible arrival, Nakeli Tea Horse Road heritage, the China Puer Tea Expo Garden, a full rainforest and wildlife day in Puer Sun River Forest Park, and a guided local coffee-estate experience. Guests arriving by about 15:30 can enjoy a relaxed lakeside walk and city orientation with the guide. A later arrival transfers directly to the hotel, avoiding the unrealistic fixed 09:00 sightseeing start found in the reference product. No essential attraction is lost because this day is intentionally kept light.
Evening | Puer at Leisure
The guide can recommend a local restaurant and help communicate dietary requirements. Dinner is paid locally. Overnight at a selected 4-star or well-reviewed boutique hotel in Puer; the exact property is confirmed before payment.

Travel toward Ninger with the English-speaking guide. The drive introduces the relationship between regional tea production and the historic caravan network.

Continue to the tea-growing hills outside Puer for a guided walk among tea terraces and a Puer tea introduction. Learn how growing, processing, aging and brewing shape different tea styles, followed by a scheduled tasting when operating conditions allow.
Late Afternoon | Return to Puer
Return to the city hotel. The separate Puer Tea Horse Road Ruins Park from the reference itinerary is not repeated, because Nakeli already provides the day's stronger Tea Horse Road context.

Drive to Puer Sun River Forest Park with the guide. Puer National Park, the Rhinoceros Flat area and Sun River Forest Park are treated as one connected visit rather than three separate attraction claims.

Follow maintained paths and boardwalks through subtropical evergreen forest. The nature interpretation focuses on plants, insects, forest ecology and conservation. Trail selection changes with rain, maintenance and the group's walking ability.

Join a short nature walk near the confirmed forest base or lodge, focusing on southern Yunnan plant life and sustainable forest management. The route is adjusted or omitted if heavy rain makes the trail unsafe.

Walk through a local coffee plantation and learn how shade, rainfall, harvest timing and processing influence the cup. Continue with a guided pour-over or cupping experience that highlights local origin coffee rather than a generic café-drink list. Stop for a final local lunch, paid on site, then continue by private vehicle toward Puer.
