Daily Itinerary
Meet at a Pu’er hotel in the morning or at a confirmed early arrival point. Visit a local tea-growing area or tasting host after lunch, with the exact format arranged in advance. If your flight or train arrives late, add an arrival night so the tea visit remains unhurried. Stay in Simao and discuss the older trading route you will follow tomorrow.
Overnight: Pu’er. Travel and walking: Local transfers and a short tea outing; arrival must allow an afternoon visit.
Drive towards Ning’er for a focused visit to Nakeli, walking an accessible section of the historic village and discussing its place on older trading routes. Pause for lunch and continue with a gentle countryside stop. The outing is cultural and scenic, not a staged horse caravan. Stay in Ning’er tonight so there is time to enjoy the area without returning immediately to Simao.
Overnight: Ning’er. Travel and walking: Allow roughly 1.5–2.5 hours of total driving, depending on stops.
Take a quiet morning around Ning’er with a short village or countryside walk selected by your guide. A local tea conversation can be arranged with a willing host when it adds something different to your earlier tasting. After lunch, return to Simao and settle in before dinner. Keep the day light enough to enjoy the landscape rather than filling the return journey with shopping stops.
Overnight: Pu’er. Travel and walking: Around 1.5–2.5 hours of total driving and short optional walks.
Enjoy breakfast and transfer to Pu’er railway station or the airport at the agreed time. If you are continuing towards Jinghong or Kunming, confirm the actual train before finalising the tour. A final cafe visit is possible only if your departure allows it. Keep purchased coffee or tea packed securely and check the baggage rules for your onward journey.
Overnight: Departure. Travel and walking: Usually 30–60 minutes of local transfer, plus check-in time.
