Overview
Leave Guiyang for a private day visiting Nanjiang Grand Canyon and Hou’er Sinkhole in the Kaiyang area. Walk the operating waterside visitor route in the canyon, then see the sinkhole landscape from its visitor area before returning to Guiyang. This is a scenery and walking programme; it does not include a cliff swing, a jump or rafting.
The base combines return private road transport, the listed admission at both scenic areas and Nanjiang’s specified sightseeing bus. Choose an English-guided arrangement if you want an accompanying explanation of the landscapes. A vehicle-and-ticket booking has no accompanying guide.
The cover is a regional watercolor illustration, not a photograph of Nanjiang, Hou’er or an actual booked trip.

The day at a glance
| Stage | Programme | Practical decision |
|---|---|---|
| Guiyang pickup | Meet at the agreed city hotel or address | Included city area covers Guanshanhu, Yunyan and Nanming districts |
| Nanjiang Grand Canyon | Walk the operating canyon visitor route, using the specified scenic transport | Match the walk to steps, wet surfaces and the party’s stamina |
| Lunch break | A meal at your own expense | Agree dietary needs and a suitable stop beforehand |
| Hou’er Sinkhole | Visit the open visitor area and view the karst setting | Adventure activities are separate and are not included |
| Guiyang return | Return to the agreed city drop-off | Protect an onward travel buffer; the day has an agreed service limit |
Choose this outing for canyon and sinkhole scenery
This route suits travellers who want a nature outing from one Guiyang hotel without moving bags to another overnight base. It has a different focus from Huangguoshu’s major waterfall areas or a long circuit to Libo. There is no hotel night or village stop in the programme.
The two visits still require walking and an inter-site road stage. If a family member needs a very short walk, tell us which surfaces and steps are difficult before a vehicle is selected. A private party can discuss the pace, but operating visitor routes and the service period remain real limits.

Nanjiang: follow the open visitor walk
Use the park’s open waterside route and its operating transport connections. The day is intended for the canyon, wooded cliffs and water scenery, rather than an unmarked hike. Water levels, spray and weather can affect the experience and which path is practical.
Wear shoes with grip and keep phones and documents protected. Do not step beyond a barrier to reach the water or recreate a photograph. Tell the planner about knee, balance, wheelchair or pushchair needs; a sightseeing bus does not make the entire walk step-free.
Hou’er: sightseeing is separate from adventure activities
The scheduled stop is a visitor-area look at the sinkhole setting. Do not interpret an image of a swing or a climbing activity as part of this booking. Any separate adventure purchase needs its own operating status, age and health conditions, equipment and cost agreement.
For children, decide whether the landscape visit itself suits their interests. There is no need to buy an additional activity simply to fill the stop. If fog or heavy rain limits the view, follow the operator’s instructions and discuss a shorter visit or another agreed option.
Vehicle-and-ticket base or English-guided option?
| Arrangement | Included scope | Keep separate |
|---|---|---|
| Private transport and admission base | Return private vehicle, listed Nanjiang and Hou’er admission, specified Nanjiang sightseeing bus | An accompanying guide and interpretation are not in this base |
| English-guided arrangement | Private vehicle, listed admissions and a professional English-speaking guide | Choose this arrangement in the written proposal; it is not added automatically |
| Personal extras | No meals or overnight accommodation are included | Meals, child safety seat, audio equipment, tips and unlisted activities or expenses |
For the smaller private arrangement, match vehicle size to the actual party and luggage rather than booking from a low per-person headline. Ask whether a child seat can be supplied and obtain its terms separately. No stock photograph establishes the exact vehicle assigned to your date.
Pickup, service hours and the return
The listed city pickup and return area covers Guanshanhu, Yunyan and Nanming. Airport, railway or other out-of-area transfers require their own arrangement and supplement. Send the full address; a hotel name without its branch can lead to the wrong meeting point.
The standard programme uses approximately eight hours of service. Start time, route order and the final return should be agreed together, with any overtime rate stated before extending the day. Do not book a tight flight from a sample finish time. If the outing must be shortened, agree which visit or walk matters most.
Food, documents and a changed day
Lunch is paid separately. Share allergies, halal requirements and prayer timing before setting the route; an ordinary local restaurant is not represented as halal-certified. Keep an agreed food alternative if the necessary preparation cannot be arranged near the stops.
Bring the original document matching the scenic bookings. Tell the planner the party’s nationality and document type for the appropriate process; an image of a passport is not needed for the initial enquiry. Child ticket entitlement follows the actual age, height and selected activity rather than a blanket free-entry claim.
If severe weather or a closure changes the programme, follow the current scenic instructions. The proposal should identify the available alternative and how booked components are adjusted. No swing operation, water flow, clear view or empty pathway is promised.
Compare another day from Guiyang
For a major waterfall day, see the Huangguoshu private itinerary and its walking and booking guide. For a southern forest-and-water visit, compare the Xiaoqikong day-trip and overnight choices. These are separate outings with different travel and ticket scopes.
Request the route for your dates
Send dates, party size, children’s ages, twin or double room preferences, luggage count, arrival and departure details, walking limits and language requirements through Plan My Trip. Include halal dining, allergies and prayer breaks. An ordinary hotel breakfast is not represented as halal-certified; English guiding needs its own arrangement.
Bring the original document used for hotel and attraction bookings. Nationality and document type help arrange registration; a passport image is not required for the initial enquiry. Your proposal will identify the rooms, vehicle, meeting point, ticket scope and supplements. Price on request.
Explore Guiyang as the gateway, compare the Guizhou private tour collection and browse city and scenic journeys.
