Daily Itinerary
Meet your driver at Pu’er railway station or the airport and transfer to your hotel. Keep the first afternoon light: a short lakeside walk and a simple introduction to local rice noodles work well after a flight or train. Your guide discusses tea preferences and confirms the farm appointment for tomorrow. Late arrivals go straight to the hotel; no essential visit depends on arriving before lunch.
Overnight: Pu’er. Travel and walking: Local transfers, usually 30–60 minutes according to arrival point.
Spend the morning at a small coffee farm outside Simao, arranged with a host in advance. Walk a manageable section between shade trees, then compare a locally roasted cup with the raw agricultural product. Harvesting and processing are seasonal, so the visit centres on what is actually happening that week. Return after lunch, leaving the late afternoon free for a cafe or a rest before the mountain journey.
Overnight: Pu’er. Travel and walking: Allow 1–2 hours of road travel in total; easy farm walking.
Meet a local coffee host for a prearranged tasting that compares a small selection of beans and roast styles. Ask about the farm origin, processing and preparation without assuming every stage is happening on site that day. A roasting demonstration is included only when the host confirms it. After lunch, take an easy city walk or a cafe break and give your palate time to rest between tastings.
Overnight: Pu’er. Travel and walking: Local transfers; a focused seated tasting of about 1.5–2 hours.
Visit a second willing farm host selected for a different processing or growing approach, rather than repeating yesterday’s tasting. During the harvest period you may see cherry sorting or drying; at other times the host explains the process with available materials. Keep the walking modest, enjoy lunch and return early enough for independent time in Simao. The exact farm and visit format are confirmed in your proposal.

Enjoy breakfast and transfer to Pu’er railway station or the airport at the agreed time. If you are continuing towards Jinghong or Kunming, confirm the actual train before finalising the tour. A final cafe visit is possible only if your departure allows it. Keep purchased coffee or tea packed securely and check the baggage rules for your onward journey.
