Daily Itinerary
Meet at Lijiang airport or railway station and settle into your hotel. If you feel comfortable after the journey, take a short orientation walk near the old town, with time for tea and an early dinner. The first day avoids a high mountain ascent. Your guide confirms the next day’s pacing and any dietary or walking needs before you turn in.
Overnight: Lijiang. Travel and walking: Local transfer usually 30–60 minutes, depending on the hotel.
Visit Baisha at an unhurried pace, walking selected lanes and entering a heritage site only when open. A guide helps connect the architecture and local history with the everyday village around it. Pause for lunch and a seated tea stop, then return to Lijiang with free time. Keep any craft encounter prearranged rather than relying on a workshop being available by chance.
Overnight: Lijiang. Travel and walking: Local drives around 1–1.5 hours in total; short village walks.
Head to Yuhu for a gentle walk among the village’s distinctive stone houses. Choose a short established path near the fields for mountain views when visibility allows, with no promise that the peaks will be clear. Return after lunch and keep the afternoon relaxed. Horse riding is not assumed or required; walking gives time to notice the materials, gardens and village setting.
Overnight: Lijiang. Travel and walking: Allow around 1.5–2 hours of driving in total; roughly 2–3 km of optional walking.
Meet a willing local craft host for a prearranged conversation or simple activity, then enjoy lunch without rushing. The afternoon follows a quieter old-town route, with time for a cafe and independent browsing. If the host is unavailable, substitute a suitable heritage visit agreed with you. Buying craft is optional, and no ceremonial performance is presented as something residents must provide.

Enjoy breakfast and transfer to the airport or railway station with the appropriate check-in margin. The itinerary ends locally, so an early departure does not require a long mountain-road drive first. If you want to continue to Dali or Shangri-La by train, confirm the exact service and station transfer before finalising the trip.
