Namtso is a long road excursion to a higher environment than Lhasa. Weather, road access and the group’s condition can change the plan, and lake views are not guaranteed. Confirm the current operating route and avoid adding a same-evening onward departure to the excursion day.

Upon arrival in Lhasa, our tour guide will meet you at the airport/train station and take you to hotel in Lhasa. In the rest of the day, please rest well and adapt to the altitude.

Departing through the expansive Damxung Grassland, the journey heads north towards the high-mountain Namtso Lake. From the vantage point of a high mountain pass, you will be rewarded with a spectacular panoramic view of the sacred lake. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to explore the shores and take a hike around the revered Tashido Island. For a truly magnificent perspective, a climb up Tashi Island itself offers an unparalleled vista of Namtso's vast, shimmering water surface. As the afternoon draws to a close, the scenic drive will bring you back to Lhasa.
