Is this trip right for you?

Families already travelling through southern Yunnan who want a quieter two-night stop.

Route: Simao → local woodland → a family-friendly farm visit → Simao

Overnight plan: 2 nights in Pu’er. The final day is departure.

When to travel

Choose a manageable forecast for woodland walking. Farm activities are adapted to the children’s ages and the season.

How your private trip works

The day plan leaves room for meals, comfort stops and the pace of your party. Road times are planning estimates and may lengthen in rain or holiday traffic. Your final proposal confirms the meeting point, hotels, private vehicle, guiding language, included admissions and any booked workshops before payment. Domestic flights and trains are included only when itemised in that proposal. Travel insurance, personal purchases and meals not specified remain separate.

Tell us your dates, number of travellers, ages of children, walking preferences and preferred room arrangement. We can shorten walks and adjust departure times while keeping the overnight route practical. Hosted visits depend on the host’s availability; no shopping purchase is required.

Meet your driver at Pu’er railway station or the airport and transfer to your hotel. Keep the first afternoon light: a short lakeside walk and a simple introduction to local rice noodles work well after a flight or train. Your guide discusses tea preferences and confirms the farm appointment for tomorrow. Late arrivals go straight to the hotel; no essential visit depends on arriving before lunch.

Overnight: Pu’er. Travel and walking: Local transfers, usually 30–60 minutes according to arrival point.

Any park admission or specialist nature activity is named in the proposal; protected or research-only areas are not assumed to be open.

Overnight: Pu’er. Travel and walking: Local road transfer; around 1–2 hours of flexible walking with breaks.

Visit a nearby coffee host in the morning for a short introduction to the plants and a simple tasting for interested adults. Children can focus on the growing landscape without being expected to drink coffee or handle equipment. Return for lunch and collect luggage before a late-afternoon or evening departure. If your train leaves early, add a night rather than squeezing the farm visit into an unsafe connection.

Overnight: Departure. Travel and walking: Local farm driving around 1–2 hours in total, then station or airport transfer.

These depend on the crop and the farm’s working schedule. Coffee cherry activity is seasonal, and a host may not be roasting or processing on the day you visit. We confirm the actual visit format rather than promising every production stage.

Some hosts may speak English, but it should not be assumed. The proposal confirms the guiding language and whether interpretation accompanies the farm visit.

No. The planned visits focus on the experience and conversation. Purchases are optional; ask for the product origin, roast or processing details and suitable storage advice if you choose to buy.
