3-Day Jingmai Mountain Ancient Tea Forest Private Tour
Overview
This private 3-day Jingmai Mountain tour travels from Jinghong into the World Heritage tea landscape for two nights among ancient forest-grown tea trees and Blang and Dai villages. It includes private transport, an English-speaking guide, village accommodation, forest walks and confirmed tea experiences.
Enough Time on the Mountain
The route spends two nights on Jingmai instead of treating it as a hurried photo stop. One full day is reserved for the ancient tea forest and Blang village context, while the final morning focuses on Nuogan Dai village and a confirmed tea host.
Respecting a Living Landscape
Tea gardens, homes and processing spaces are working community places. The tour does not promise entry to private areas without permission, and it does not treat local residents as a performance. Photography and workshops follow the host’s guidance.
Road and Season Notes
The mountain road can be slow, bumpy or affected by rain. Guesthouses are comfortable but simpler than city hotels. Tea picking and live leaf processing are seasonal; comparative tasting and process demonstrations can replace unavailable field work.
Daily Itinerary

Before 12:00 | Jinghong Pickup
Meet the guide at Jinghong Airport, railway station or a central hotel. A morning arrival or pre-tour night in Jinghong is recommended. Drive roughly 200 kilometers toward Jingmai Mountain; the exact journey is normally three to four hours with stops and mountain-road conditions.
Afternoon | Jingmai Village Orientation
Check in to a confirmed local guesthouse in or near Wengji, Mangjing or Jingmai Dazhai. Take a gentle village walk and learn the basic geography of the heritage landscape. Sunset or cloud views depend entirely on weather.
Evening | Local Dinner
Dinner is paid locally unless the final quotation states otherwise. Village kitchens cook to order, so the guide confirms dietary requests in advance.

08:30-11:30 | Ancient Tea Forest Walk
Follow a local route through old tea trees growing beneath taller forest canopy. The guide explains forest-grown cultivation, biodiversity, leaf harvesting and community management. Stay on permitted paths and avoid touching marked trees.
11:30-13:00 | Lunch with Time to Rest
Enjoy a locally arranged meal or choose a village restaurant, according to the confirmed plan.
13:00-16:30 | Wengji and Mangjing
Explore Blang village lanes, houses and tea spaces with permission. Join a guided tasting that compares available Jingmai teas and discusses harvest season, processing and storage. Product purchases are optional and never required.
Evening | Second Mountain Night
Return to the guesthouse. Night activities are intentionally limited; the focus is a quiet village stay rather than staged entertainment.

08:30-11:30 | Nuogan Village and Confirmed Tea Host
Walk through Nuogan's Dai village setting and meet a confirmed tea host. When fresh leaves and the host's work schedule allow, observe or join part of the hand-making process. Otherwise, use prepared leaf to demonstrate rolling, drying and tasting without pretending it is harvest day.
11:30-12:30 | Early Lunch
Have an early meal before leaving the mountain.
12:30-16:30 | Drive to Jinghong
Return by private vehicle with comfort stops. A flight or train after 18:30 is recommended. Earlier departures require leaving Jingmai before the Nuogan program.
