1-Day Shangri-La Culture, Pudacuo & Tibetan Family Tour
Overview
Combine Songzanlin Monastery, Pudacuo National Park and a Tibetan family visit in one private day from Shangri-La. The route includes a short walk through Dukezong Ancient Town and brings together religious life, the plateau landscape and conversation in a local home.
The family visit is arranged with the hosts, with the day’s order adjusted around their availability and the park programme. It is intended as a respectful introduction to household life, with time for questions through your guide.

Daily Itinerary

Begin at Songzanlin Monastery, where your guide introduces the monastery buildings and Tibetan Buddhist practice. Continue to Pudacuo National Park for a walk among the open lake, forest and meadow areas, using the park shuttle as needed. On your return to town, take a short walk through Dukezong Ancient Town. Later, visit a Tibetan household by prior arrangement to learn about everyday home life through conversation with your hosts. Return to your Shangri-La hotel. The timing of the home visit is coordinated with the family and the park programme.
