Overview
Start and finish in Qingdao on an eight-day, seven-night Shandong circuit. Travel inland to Mingshui, Jinan and Weifang, then east to Penglai, Yantai and Weihai before returning to Qingdao for two final nights. This route includes a Penglai overnight and a planned Penglai Pavilion visit, making it distinct from the shorter Jinan loop that uses Eight Immortals Crossing.

Who this route suits
Choose this itinerary for Qingdao return flights and a route with a dedicated Penglai stop. The first day is an arrival day, while the last day is departure. The seven hotel nights are three in Qingdao and one each in Mingshui, Weifang, Penglai and Weihai. It remains a touring circuit with hotel changes, not a week based beside one beach.

Comfort, meals and practical choices
Keep the Penglai and Yantai attraction names precise when comparing quotations: Penglai Pavilion is not Eight Immortals Crossing, and Changyu Castel Chateau is not Changyu Wine Museum. This route uses the Pavilion and Chateau. The overnight sequence totals seven nights, including the arrival night and two final Qingdao nights. The reference programme uses Chinese-language guiding and a suggested seven-breakfast, twelve-main-meal pattern; the accepted quotation must establish any actual meals, language and services. A particular coach seat layout, hotel brand, gift or tip policy from a sample cannot establish the current booking. Ask for the actual vehicle appropriate to the party and bags, named accommodation and dated cancellation conditions.

How is this different from the Jinan seven-day loop?
It starts and finishes in Qingdao, has eight local days and seven hotel nights, and includes an overnight in Penglai with Penglai Pavilion rather than Baxiandu.
Can the final Qingdao day be slower?
Yes. Prioritise either a fuller Beer Museum visit or a longer old-town walk, and reduce the other stops before confirming tickets and guiding.

Daily Itinerary
Continue to the Qingdao hotel after arrival. Keep this day for settling in, particularly for a late flight. A flight number from a sample programme does not establish a current operating service; choose flights for your own dates and confirm the correct airport terminal, baggage and arrival arrangement. The first hotel night is in Qingdao.
Overnight: Qingdao.
Travel inland to Mingshui in Jinan’s Zhangqiu area. Explore selected canal streets and Li Qingzhao-related sites, with Baimai and Mo springs included only within the accepted local visiting route. A costume activity or evening show is optional and needs an explicit booking. Stay in Mingshui so the evening can be enjoyed without a further intercity transfer.
Overnight: Mingshui / Jinan area.
Visit a chosen Jinan route connecting Daming Lake, Qushuiting’s old lanes, Black Tiger Spring and Quancheng Square as timing permits. Keep drinking water for the day rather than assuming spring water is suitable to drink untreated. Continue to Weifang for the night. A guided city explanation and attraction entry should be identified separately in the proposal.
Overnight: Weifang.
Choose Yangjiabu’s kite traditions before travelling to Penglai. Visit Penglai Pavilion and the associated Water City area as the booked entry and opening conditions allow. An Eight Immortals sculpture-square stop is different from admission to Eight Immortals Crossing scenic area. Stay in Penglai; the overnight is a practical difference from routes that only pass through on the way to Yantai.
Overnight: Penglai.
Continue via Yantai for the requested Changyu Castel Chateau visit. This is a different venue from Changyu Wine Museum, so the exact name and admission must be stated in the itinerary. Add a selected Chaoyang Street walk if time allows, then continue to Weihai with Hanlefang as a possible evening meal area. Stay in Weihai. Wine purchases and tasting packages are personal or separately booked choices.
Overnight: Weihai.
Choose Torch Eight Street and the Happiness Gate area for a short Weihai programme before travelling back to Qingdao. Once in the city, use Badaguan or the May Fourth Square and Olympic Sailing Centre waterfront according to time and energy. Light displays follow the local calendar and are not guaranteed every evening. Spend the first of two final Qingdao nights.
Overnight: Qingdao.
Use a full day for a selected Qingdao city route. Combine a Zhanqiao-area view with St Michael’s Cathedral exterior, Guangxingli or Dabaodao lanes and Xiaoyushan if the party is comfortable with the climb. Visit Tsingtao Beer Museum with the ticket and explanation arrangements specified. Shorten the old-town walk when a more detailed museum visit is preferred. Stay in Qingdao.
Overnight: Qingdao.
Check out and continue to the departure terminal or station at the agreed time. No hotel night follows. Ask for breakfast handling if the departure is early, and leave sufficient time for luggage, check-in and security.
