6-Day Pu’er and Jingmai Family Tea Journey
Overview
6-Day Pu’er and Jingmai Family Tea Journey: A family-paced tea journey with gateway nights on both sides of the mountain stay and only one substantial outing on each full day.
For families who value slower mornings and optional short walks. Tell us children’s ages, car-seat needs, caffeine preferences and how far everyone can walk.
Travel illustrations show the style of the journey, rather than actual customers or a guaranteed venue.
Route and overnight plan
| Day | Main plan | Overnight |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Arrive and settle in Simao | Pu’er |
| 2 | Travel to Jingmai Mountain | Jingmai Mountain |
| 3 | A short tea-forest discovery | Jingmai Mountain |
| 4 | Village life at a comfortable pace | Jingmai Mountain |
| 5 | Return to Pu’er before the departure day | Pu’er |
| 6 | Depart from Pu’er | Departure |
Make the experience fit your visit
Book the last road leg and a village pickup point together; an airport or county-town arrival is not arrival at the mountain guesthouse.
| Decide before booking | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Experience depth | A tea tasting is easier to arrange than picking or a working production line. Hosts, fresh leaves and weather determine the hands-on options. |
| Walking and comfort | Tell us about stairs, uneven paths, motion sickness, child seats and luggage. Ask the host about toilets and the nearest vehicle access. |
| Food and caffeine | State allergies, vegetarian or halal requirements and caffeine limits. A local restaurant or tea host does not automatically meet a requested dietary standard. |
| If conditions change | Move a wet-path walk to a village tea session. Cloud seas and harvest activity are possibilities, never fixed appointments. |
What the enquiry covers
This is a customizable private itinerary proposal. Named regions and suggested visits describe the route; the written quotation identifies the available hosts, accommodation and services for your dates. A driver, an English-speaking guide and a specialist producer are different roles. Ask which are included on each day. There is no fixed departure or guaranteed group size on this page.
Request a price breakdown for vehicle and driver, guiding or interpretation, rooms, meals, admission, tastings and workshops. Optional purchases are your choice. Travel insurance, flights, trains and transfers outside the agreed route must be addressed separately; no insurance cover is implied by an itinerary description.

Daily Itinerary
Arrive in Pu’er and keep the first afternoon close to your Simao hotel. Plan an early meal, obtain supplies and confirm the next day’s vehicle arrangement. A short tea introduction can be requested if arrival allows, but there is no compulsory tasting after a long journey. Provide room-sharing and child-seat requirements with the enquiry.
Overnight: Pu’er.

Treat the mountain transfer as the main event of the day. Build in comfort and meal stops agreed with the driver, then settle into the selected village lodging. Ask about the final walk from the parking area, stairs and room heating or ventilation. An easy guesthouse-area stroll is optional; children do not need a second scheduled attraction.
Overnight: Jingmai Mountain.
Choose a short established path with frequent pauses to look at leaves, shade and the surrounding forest. Keep children away from steep edges and working equipment. After lunch, return to the accommodation for rest. Adults may request a small tasting; children can join the explanation without drinking caffeinated tea or participating in farm work.
Overnight: Jingmai Mountain.
Visit Wengji or Nuogan according to the accommodation base and current road conditions. Avoid combining a long village walk with another large afternoon program. Ask permission before portraits and do not enter homes simply because a doorway is open. If anyone is tired, the useful alternative is a seated tea conversation and a quiet meal, not another transfer.
Overnight: Jingmai Mountain.

Travel back to Simao and leave the evening free. This gateway night separates the winding mountain road from an onward flight or train. A relaxed dinner and time to repack are part of the pacing. Coffee or tea shopping is optional and should fit around the family’s energy rather than extend the driving day.
Overnight: Pu’er.
Transfer to the confirmed airport or railway station. The booking should name the terminal or station in Chinese and English and state the pickup time. Do not add a rural estate stop before an early departure. If the family has a late train, leave bags with the hotel only with its agreement and choose a nearby activity.
Overnight: Departure.
