Hotel categories in this collection are booking-platform diamond categories, rather than a promise of internationally certified star ratings. The proposed accommodation standard is four-diamond, with a five-diamond category in Lijiang. Your quotation identifies the actual hotel, room and breakfast arrangements; hotels are not represented as halal-certified.
Halal meals and prayer arrangements
| Your concern | Arrangement | Discuss before booking |
|---|---|---|
| Halal lunch and dinner | Nearby halal restaurants or pre-ordered halal takeaway for the included main meals | Your accepted halal standard, allergies and ingredients to avoid |
| Hotel breakfast | Hotel buffet with your own selection; help arranging halal takeaway, dairy products or pastries if needed | Required preparation standards and any extra charges for alternatives |
| Prayer times | Daily prayer-time reminders and coordination with the day’s travel | Your requirements for stops and prayer space, particularly on mountain and train days |
| Self-arranged meals | An agreed meal refund can apply when you arrange an included meal yourself | Which meals and the refund amount, written into your quotation |
| Train-day dinner | Buy or arrange portable halal food before boarding; this dinner is at your own expense | Dietary needs and how to obtain the meal before the station transfer |
Share your requirements with VeroTrip before booking so the arrangements can be agreed in writing. Local markets, hotel buffets and cultural banquets do not automatically meet every halal standard. Dedicated prayer rooms and mosque stops are arranged only where available and included in your confirmed plan.
What is included and what to budget separately
| Included in this route | Separate or payable locally |
|---|---|
| 5 hotel nights and the meals listed each day | Flights, visas where applicable, personal purchases and travel insurance unless added to your quotation |
| Road transfers and Kunming airport pickup/drop-off | Driver and guide tips |
| Listed first-entry attraction tickets, Glacier Park Cableway and one-way Snow Mountain Sightseeing Train | Separately charged scenic-area carts, shuttle buses and other local transport |
| Second-class return train to Kunming | Meals marked as self-arranged, optional purchases and unspecified services |
Choose the right pace before booking
Best for a first Yunnan visit with limited leave; the mountain-and-train day requires an early start and a busy schedule.
All six routes visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. A cableway ride still takes you to high elevation, and old-town streets, scenic areas and stations involve walking. Tell us about children’s ages, mobility needs and any reason your group needs a different mountain plan before paying.
Scenic access, cableway reservations and train tickets determine the final daily order. A closed Glacier Park Cableway is replaced by a Baisha Ancient Town visit. Train numbers and times are confirmed when ticketed; keep the final night in Kunming rather than adding a same-evening international connection.

Compare the six small-group routes
| Choose this route | Days | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Kunming, Dali & Lijiang | 6 | This is the shortest route in the collection. It includes five hotel nights and no scheduled Shangri-La, Lugu Lake or southern mosque extension. |
| Classic Route & Shangri-La | 8 | Seven hotel nights include two in Lijiang and one in Shangri-La. The return train leaves from Shangri-La, keeping the northbound city sequence clear. |

| Shangri-La & Najiaying | 9 | Eight hotel nights include a final two-night stay in Kunming. Najiaying is in the Tonghai area; this route does not include the separate Shadian overnight extension. |
| Shangri-La & Shadian | 10 | Nine hotel nights include one in Shadian. This route adds two southern travel days after the Shangri-La-to-Kunming train; it does not include Najiaying or Lugu Lake. |

Daily Itinerary

Meet your transfer service at Kunming Changshui International Airport and travel to your hotel. There is no scheduled sightseeing today, giving you time to settle in after your flight.
Send your flight number and arrival time before departure so the meeting point can be arranged. Tell the team about your luggage, children and room requirements. Use this first evening to discuss halal breakfasts and prayer-time reminders for the days ahead. Meals today are at your own expense; ask for help finding a suitable dinner.
| Day 1 | Your arrangements |
|---|---|
| Route | Kunming Changshui Airport → Kunming hotel |
| Overnight | Kunming |
| Included meals | None |

Start with Zhuanxin Market, then explore Kunming Old Street and the distinctive Duiyue Building, often called the Wine Cup Tower. After lunch, travel by road to Dali and check in for two nights.
Markets show the variety of local food, but individual stalls do not all meet halal requirements. Your included meals are arranged separately through halal restaurants or pre-ordered takeaway. Today combines city walks with a long road transfer, so keep your prayer essentials and a light layer in your day bag.
| Day 2 | Your arrangements |
|---|---|
| Route | Kunming → Dali |
| Overnight | Dali |
| Included meals | Breakfast, lunch, dinner |

Walk through Dali Old Town before visiting Ideal Bang, the Santorini-style development overlooking Erhai Lake. Enjoy refreshments with lake views, then continue to Panxi S-Bay for lakeside cycling.
These stops lie in different parts of the Dali area, so allow for the road journeys between them. If you do not cycle, discuss a suitable lakeside meeting point with the guide before the group sets off. Families should confirm bicycle sizes and children’s participation arrangements in advance. Return to Dali for your second night.
| Day 3 | Your arrangements |
|---|---|
| Route | Dali Old Town → Ideal Bang → Panxi S-Bay |
| Overnight | Dali |
| Included meals | Breakfast, lunch, dinner |

Visit Xizhou and enjoy a Bai Three-Course Tea presentation before continuing by road to Lijiang. Explore Black Dragon Pool, browse Zhongyi Market and see Lijiang Old Town in the evening.
The three teas introduce different tastes and local customs; tell your guide about ingredients you avoid. Dinner follows the group’s halal arrangements. A mushroom hotpot is only suitable when its stock, meat and preparation meet your requirements, so the meal may differ from a standard local banquet. Cobblestones and steps make comfortable walking shoes useful.
| Day 4 | Your arrangements |
|---|---|
| Route | Dali → Xizhou → Lijiang |
| Overnight | Lijiang |
| Included meals | Breakfast, lunch, dinner |

Visit Shuhe Ancient Town and take a one-way Snow Mountain Sightseeing Train journey. The mountain visit includes the Glacier Park Cableway, followed by Blue Moon Valley and Ganhaizi, with the order arranged around your cableway reservation.
The cableway reaches a high mountain environment. Tell VeroTrip before booking if anyone needs a gentler plan, and seek personal medical advice where appropriate. Wind, weather and operating restrictions can affect access. If the Glacier Park Cableway closes, the planned alternative is Baisha Ancient Town. Local sightseeing carts and other separately charged scenic transport are excluded.
Later, transfer to Lijiang Railway Station for the second-class train journey to Kunming. This is the busiest day of the six-day route: the mountain booking and train must be coordinated together. Dinner is at your own expense; arrange portable halal food before boarding.
| Day 5 | Your arrangements |
|---|---|
| Route | Lijiang → Jade Dragon Snow Mountain → Lijiang Station → Kunming |
| Overnight | Kunming |
| Included meals | Breakfast, lunch |

After breakfast, transfer to Kunming Changshui International Airport for your departure flight.
Send your flight number in advance so the pickup can be planned around the airline’s check-in requirements. For an international flight, plan to reach the airport at least three hours before departure. If your flight leaves before normal breakfast service, ask about the available breakfast arrangement when confirming the hotel.
| Day 6 | Your arrangements |
|---|---|
| Route | Kunming hotel → Kunming Changshui Airport |
| Overnight | Tour ends |
| Included meals | Breakfast |
