3-Day Shangri-La Private Tour from Shanghai
Overview
Add three days in Shangri-La to a trip starting in Shanghai, with local transfers and private sightseeing after you arrive in Yunnan. The programme begins with an unhurried arrival day, followed by Songzanlin Monastery, a Tibetan family visit and Pudacuo National Park.
Flights from Shanghai are arranged separately, including any connection required for your dates. The three days are spent in and around Shangri-La; no sightseeing in Shanghai is included.

Daily Itinerary
Make your own flight arrangements from Shanghai to Diqing Shangri-La Airport. Flight routing and any connection depend on your travel date. Your local driver meets you on arrival and transfers you to the hotel. Keep the rest of the day free to settle in, rest and take a short walk nearby if you feel comfortable. This is an arrival day, with no fixed sightseeing programme.
Meet your guide at the hotel and visit Songzanlin Monastery. Continue with an easy walk near Lamuyangcuo Lake, where the water and surrounding countryside offer a different view of the monastery setting. Later, visit a Tibetan household by prior arrangement and try butter tea with your hosts. Return to the hotel after the visits, leaving the evening free.
Spend the day at Pudacuo National Park, also called Potatso. Follow the accessible lake and woodland paths around the visitor areas, with Shudu Lake and the surrounding meadow landscape as the focus. Use the park’s shuttle system between open sections. Return to Shangri-La after sightseeing. An airport transfer can be fitted around a suitable departure; otherwise, an additional hotel night can be arranged.
