3-Day Nannuo Mountain and Menghai Tea Culture Private Tour
Overview
This private 3-day Xishuangbanna tea tour starts in Jinghong, spends a full day on Nannuo Mountain with a Hani tea host, and continues through Menghai tea culture and Manzhao Dai handmade paper. Private transport, an English-speaking guide and two nights of accommodation are included.
Tea Mountain without Overloading the Day
Nannuo Mountain receives a full day for the village, forest-grown tea and a confirmed tasting or workshop. The final day adds one culturally connected craft and one reserved Menghai tea visit instead of attempting several distant tea mountains.
Confirmed Access Matters
Tea homes, factories and warehouses are not automatically public attractions. The operator confirms one appropriate host or tea-culture center before payment and names it in the final itinerary.
Season and Walking
Tea picking and fresh-leaf production are seasonal. Mountain paths can be humid and slippery, while village workshops may use steps and uneven floors. Comfortable shoes and light rain protection are recommended.
Daily Itinerary

Arrival | Jinghong Airport or Railway Station Pickup
Meet the local representative and transfer to a selected hotel. Foreign passports are accepted, and the confirmed hotel receives document details before arrival.
Afternoon | Guided Tea Introduction
When timing allows, join a short orientation with a local tea specialist. Learn how Nannuo Mountain fits within Menghai tea geography and how raw Puer differs by harvest, processing and storage. Late arrivals transfer directly to the hotel.
Evening | Jinghong at Leisure
The guide can recommend a restaurant and help with dietary requests. There is no fixed shopping stop.

08:00-09:30 | Drive to Nannuo Mountain
Leave Jinghong by private vehicle. Actual driving time depends on the confirmed village, road and traffic.
09:30-12:00 | Tea Garden and Village Walk
Follow a local Hani host through village lanes and permitted tea-garden paths. Learn about old tea trees, forest conditions, harvesting and household-scale tea production. The route does not promise access to privately owned trees without permission.
12:00-13:00 | Local Lunch
Lunch is arranged with the host or paid at a local restaurant, as stated in the final quotation.
13:00-16:00 | Tea Making and Tasting
Observe the main steps used for local Puer tea and join a guided tasting. Fresh-leaf work depends on season; prepared leaf is used for an honest demonstration outside harvest.
Late Afternoon | Continue to Menghai
Drive to Menghai and check in to a selected hotel, reducing next-day backtracking.

08:30-10:30 | Manzhao Handmade Paper
Visit a confirmed Dai village craft host to see the main stages of traditional handmade paper. The guide explains how durable local paper became connected with tea wrapping and village life. Hands-on participation depends on the workshop schedule.
11:00-13:00 | Confirmed Menghai Tea Visit
Visit a reserved tea-culture center, workshop or appropriate warehouse for a guided comparative tasting. Private factory production floors are included only when advance permission is documented.
13:00-14:00 | Flexible Lunch
Lunch is paid locally unless the final quotation states otherwise.
14:00-16:00 | Return to Jinghong
Drop off at the confirmed hotel, airport or railway station. A departure after 18:00 is recommended for the full itinerary.
