Arrive in Urumqi and take the booked transfer to the hotel before the winter circuit. Check the next day's road plan and keep warm layers and daily essentials accessible in the vehicle. Leave the arrival evening light, with time to prepare for short outdoor visits and the longer drives into northern Xinjiang.
Travel toward Altay on the winter road route confirmed for the departure. Snow, visibility and road controls can extend the journey, so the day prioritises reaching the overnight base with planned meal and warm-up stops. Scenic pauses use permitted stopping areas only; reaching a viewpoint is secondary to the operating conditions on the road.
Visit the accessible Kanas Lake area on the winter route open to visitors. Keep outdoor blocks short enough for the group's cold tolerance and allow time to return to shelter or the vehicle. Frozen scenery varies by conditions; walking onto ice or using a summer trail is not assumed as part of the visit.
Travel to Hemu using the winter access arrangement in operation, then explore suitable village lanes and viewing areas. Snow can slow both walking and luggage transfers, so leave time for arrival and warm-up breaks. Morning mist, snowfall and sunrise colours are possibilities rather than guaranteed events, and private homes are entered only by agreement.

Leave Hemu for the Urho Devil City section, treating the winter road journey as the main time constraint. Make the planned landform visit only within the access and daylight window available after travel. If weather or road delays reduce that window, use the alternative agreed for the group rather than extending an outdoor visit into unsafe conditions.
Continue toward Sayram Lake for the winter landscapes accessible on the day. Use designated shore viewing areas and keep warm-up breaks within the schedule, as wind can shorten the outdoor time. Ice colour and formations are not guaranteed, and going onto the lake surface is not part of the standard sightseeing plan.
Return from the Sayram Lake section to Urumqi, leaving a full travel window for winter road conditions and rest stops. Avoid adding a distant attraction before the city arrival. This overnight buffer separates the lake visit from the onward departure and gives the group time to collect luggage and prepare for tomorrow's transfer.
