Arrive in Urumqi and transfer to the hotel according to your booking. Use the rest of the day to settle in and confirm the departure arrangements for Burqin. The route covers long distances between northern Xinjiang's scenic areas, so the first evening stays free of fixed visits and allows time to prepare luggage for the journey.
Travel from Urumqi to Burqin, making the road journey the main focus of the day. Meal and comfort stops are planned around the route rather than a series of additional attractions. Reach the overnight base with time to rest before entering the Kanas area tomorrow; the final transport plan specifies the actual route and pickup time.
Leave Burqin for the Kanas Lake area and allow time to change onto the visitor transport required for the scenic route. Explore the selected lakeside or river viewpoints at a manageable pace, with walking and queue time included in the schedule. Confirm the overnight base and any optional lake activity before assuming more than the standard group circuit.
Continue from the Kanas area to Hemu, coordinating the road transfer with local scenic transport and luggage access. Spend the remaining time walking through the village's open lanes and valley surroundings. The amount of walking depends on conditions and arrival time, while private homes and local working areas are visited only with permission.
Leave Hemu and begin the long transfer toward Kuitun after collecting luggage and completing the village transport connection. Preserve time for rest stops and meals on the road. Scenic places passed en route are not automatically included admissions; any planned stop must leave a realistic margin for reaching the evening accommodation.
Travel from Kuitun to Sayram Lake for the route's second mountain-lake setting. Follow the group plan for a series of suitable shore stops, with short walks where access permits. Conditions can feel very different from the lower road sections, so keep an extra layer available and adjust the outdoor blocks to wind and temperature.
Use a limited morning window for the remaining Sayram Lake views before starting the return to Urumqi. The lake loop must fit around the intercity journey, so this is not another unrestricted full sightseeing day. Keep the evening free for arrival and rest, and leave tomorrow for the onward flight or train.
