Your journey at a glance
| Day | Route | Main experience | Overnight |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shangri-La → selected comfort/meal stop near Benzilan → Feilaisi-area accommodation | Shangri-La to a Feilaisi-area base | Feilaisi area, night 1 |
| 2 | Authorised Feilaisi-area viewpoint → local walk and rest → same accommodation | A full local day around the mountain view | Same Feilaisi-area base, night 2 |
| 3 | Feilaisi area → complete road return → Shangri-La agreed finish | A final morning and the return south | No third hotel night |
Why choose this pace?
The extra night provides rest and another weather window; it does not guarantee a clear mountain. Stay at authorised viewpoints and local public visitor areas. This road-based route includes no summit climb, glacier trek, Yubeng hike or Tibet crossing.
Keep arrival, visiting time and the final transfer visible. The route is designed around one main experience per day, a proper meal and breaks. Optional stops should earn the time they take; they are shortened or removed when weather, queues or the party’s energy require a gentler plan.
Accommodation, meals and practical comfort
2 hotel nights fall between the touring days. Confirm the named property, room layout, bathroom and seasonal comfort before selecting the stay. Meal stops allow time to eat; meals are supplied only as expressly listed. Tell us allergies, dietary requirements, child-seat and walking needs before the vehicle and visits are chosen.
Services and choices
| Item | Planning basis |
|---|---|
| Vehicle and time | Passenger and bag capacity, child seats if required, pickup/finish, waiting, additional stops and overtime terms. |
| Driver and guiding | Driver contact and communication plan; guiding language and accompaniment only when separately specified. |
| Transport costs | Fuel, tolls, parking, driver overnight expenses where relevant, one-way and outlying-pickup supplements. |
| Visits and rooms | Admission, scenic shuttles, host appointments, meals, hotel nights and room arrangements individually identified. |
| Changes | Cancellation, weather/closure changes, delays and treatment of unused services in the accepted terms. |
A private driver, a sightseeing guide and a specialist host perform different roles. Guiding language, admissions, internal scenic transport, activities, accommodation and meals must be itemised. Independent travel to the start, onward tickets, personal purchases and personal travel insurance need their own arrangements unless explicitly included.
Before you choose the route
The extra night provides rest and another weather window; it does not guarantee a clear mountain. Stay at authorised viewpoints and local public visitor areas. This road-based route includes no summit climb, glacier trek, Yubeng hike or Tibet crossing.
Keep all travel within legal roads and currently open visitor areas. Do not treat a photograph as a current view or an old programme as a confirmed activity. An agreed shorter walk, rest day or changed visit can be preferable to pursuing every stop. Obtain the booking’s weather, closure, change and cancellation terms before confirming.

Daily Itinerary
Route: Shangri-La → selected comfort/meal stop near Benzilan → Feilaisi-area accommodation
Leave from the agreed road-accessible Shangri-La pickup and make the mountain journey the main commitment. Build in a proper meal and comfort stops, using only legal stopping areas. A short landscape pause can fit where current road and weather conditions allow; a long hosted visit is a separate choice, not another compulsory stop. Arrive at the actual property with time to settle in and understand the approach to the authorised viewpoint. If peaks are visible, enjoy the changing light without making sunset a guaranteed appointment.
Stay: Feilaisi area, night 1. Meals: only as listed in your accepted proposal.
Route: Authorised Feilaisi-area viewpoint → local walk and rest → same accommodation
If weather and access allow, use the agreed morning viewpoint to look toward the Meili range. Return for breakfast and a slower day rather than spending every hour chasing another distant viewpoint. Select a manageable public local walk, a meal and rest; the car’s local duty and waiting must be agreed, especially when much of the day is near the hotel. Keep closed platforms, unofficial roadside photography points and private land out of the route. Cloud can remain all day, and a second night does not guarantee clear peaks.
Stay: Same Feilaisi-area base, night 2. Meals: only as listed in your accepted proposal.
Route: Feilaisi area → complete road return → Shangri-La agreed finish
A second morning provides another opportunity to look toward the mountains if conditions permit. After breakfast, collect all bags and make the full return to Shangri-La, with suitable road breaks. A final scenic pause is optional and should be removed if it compromises the return. Finish at the actual town hotel or point included in the proposal. An airport or station continuation needs its own arrangement and a sound margin; retain a Shangri-La night before an important onward departure where practical.
Stay: No third hotel night. Meals: only as listed in your accepted proposal.
