Leave Chengdu for the Heishui valley and continue toward the San’ao mountain area. The road journey is roughly six hours in normal conditions. Check into the chosen town guesthouse or mountain-base accommodation, meet the local team and prepare for the early start. Transfer to the confirmed starting point and begin the ascent in darkness with the mountain guide. Move from the lower approach onto open upper slopes, using the equipment required by the day’s conditions. After the attempt, descend to the base, retrieve luggage and transfer back to Chengdu. The total walking distance and duration depend on the starting point and operating route.
