Daily Itinerary
Arriving at Nyingchi Airport in the morning, we will first complete the necessary travel permit procedures. Following lunch, our journey begins with a visit to the celebrated Gala Peach Village, where vast orchards create a scenic sea of pink blossoms against a backdrop of towering mountains. We will then traverse the distinctive Lulang Forest Sea, a landscape of dense, misty woods and rolling meadows. A stop at the scenic Sela Pass offers a chance to admire the distant, snow-capped grandeur of Namcha Barwa Peak. The day culminates with a visit to a local Tibetan family for cultural immersion; here, you can try your hand at traditional archery before settling in for a genuine, home-cooked Tibetan dinner.
We will depart from Lulang for the renowned Pomi Peach Valley, home to the world's most expansive wild peach groves. Here, you can wander amidst miles of high-mountain pink blossoms, beautifully set against a dramatic backdrop of pristine, snow-capped peaks. In the afternoon, our journey continues to the distinctive peach gardens located within the Gangyun Pine Forest. Enjoy a relaxing trek through the serene, untouched virgin forest before settling into a cozy homestay guesthouse. This tranquil retreat offers scenic panoramic views of the lush woodland, majestic snow mountains, and a traditional local village.
Savor a tranquil morning in the serene Gangyun Pine Forest, beginning with a leisurely walk through its peaceful landscape. Afterwards, we depart for the scenic Basumtso Lake. En route, we will stop at the impressive Kading Valley Waterfall to witness the powerful gorge and waterfall scenery that characterizes the Nyingchi region. As we journey back towards Nyingchi, be prepared for another potential, high-mountain glimpse of the majestic Mt. Namjiagbarwa, offering a final farewell from the peaks.
Awaken amidst the tranquil lakeside forests of Basum Co and take a peaceful morning walk along its pristine shores. Following breakfast, join your guide to visit the well-known heart-shaped island at the lake's center. Afterwards, begin on a serene boat trip across the turquoise waters to the revered Child-Seeking Cave. From there, enjoy a one-hour hike on the secluded and scenic lakeside trail. After lunch, we will begin on the drive to Lhasa via the comfortable highway.
The day begins with a visit to the majestic Potala Palace, an architectural marvel perched above the city. Afterwards, we will descend to a local park beneath the palace to observe and participate in traditional Tibetan folk activities with residents. The journey continues to the sacred Jokhang Temple, followed by a circular walk along the bustling Barkor Street, a lively pilgrim circuit. To complete the cultural immersion, we will pause at a classic sweet tea house, savoring this beloved local beverage and absorbing the distinctive social atmosphere.
Departing Lhasa, we journey west towards Gyantse. Our route takes us past the scenic, turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake, where we will stop for a visit with a local family and enjoy an local farm-to-table lunch. The adventure continues as we witness the dramatic ice flows of the Karola Glacier and later, explore the serene, golden-hued landscapes of the Gyantse barley fields.
Head to the Himalayas. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Everest and the Himalayas at the Dingri View point and the Gawula View point. Enjoy the beautiful sunset of Mount Everest (subject to weather conditions).
Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Everest in the morning and visit the Rongbuk Monastery. Return to Shigatse via Dingyal and Sakya County. On the way, we will see the eastern slope of Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse at the Himalayan Xilin View point.
In the morning, visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the largest temple in western Tibet, and then take bus along the Yarlung Zangbo River back to Lhasa (or by train).
