Overview

Quick Answer

3 days from Chengdu back to Chengdu. E’mutang and the Hongyuan plateau approach.

Walk across the open landscapes of Hongyuan on a three-day grassland journey with a guesthouse night and a night under canvas. From Waqie, the route enters the Riganqiao grassland, where wide skies, seasonal flowers and meandering water give the walk its character. The terrain is gentler in appearance than a mountain pass, but distance, altitude and wet ground still require preparation. verotrip confirms permitted paths and camping arrangements before departure.
