Meet in Chengdu for the afternoon road transfer through Kangding to Laoyulin Village. Check into the guesthouse, meet the mountain team and prepare for the long walk-in. Transfer to the approach and walk through Gexi grassland toward Liangchahe. Continue up the Riwuqie valley as the mountain views open and the altitude increases. The stage is long even where the gradient feels gentle. Reach upper Riwuqie camp, settle into basic shared accommodation and prepare the early-morning essentials before resting.
