Daily Itinerary

Arrive in Guangyuan and check in at the downtown hotel. The remainder of the day is free for an independent riverside walk, a city park or local dishes such as Guangyuan cold noodles and Jianmen tofu.

Leave Guangyuan after breakfast and drive about two hours toward Jianmen. Hike roughly 13 kilometers along the Ancient Shu Road and through the old cypress trees of the Cuiyun Corridor, then check in near Jianmen.

Spend the morning at Jianmen Pass, following the route through the South Gate, Watchtower and the Bird Path or its available alternative. Continue with an afternoon hike of about 15 kilometers on the Hanyang section of the Ancient Shu Road before returning to Jianmen.

Hike about 15 kilometers on the Dachao Yi Ancient Path, where bluestone slabs and old hoof marks recall the historic road through northern Sichuan. Continue to Zhaohua Ancient Town for an independent evening and overnight stay.

Use the final morning for Zhaohua or the agreed Jianmen-area visit, then return to Guangyuan. Match the transfer time to the onward rail or flight schedule and avoid a tight same-day connection.
