Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Day Plan from Lijiang
Overview
Price on request. This is a proposed one-day route from Lijiang, returning to Lijiang with no overnight stay. Travel dates, ticket access and every contracted service are established in your written offer.
Build the day around the mountain experience your group wants, then decide whether Impression Lijiang fits the available reservations. A private road transfer can make departure and return simpler, while the scenic area’s internal transport and ticket rules still apply.
This is a proposed itinerary to discuss for your dates. The final written proposal needs to name the vehicle arrangement, driver or guide service, ticket choices, inclusions and cancellation conditions. A request does not reserve a cable-car place or a performance seat.

Follow the itinerary in travel order.

Current cableway maintenance
For visits from 31 October through 10 November 2026, exclude Spruce Meadow: its ropeway is scheduled to stop throughout that period. The announcement names 11 November as its planned return to service; check for a reopening notice and operating tickets before choosing it for a later date. The Glacier Park maintenance schedule named 31 October for reopening, but that is not a guarantee of operation in wind, snow or other adverse conditions. The Yunnan government travel notice gives these maintenance dates.
For the current closure period, discuss Glacier Park only if it is operating, tickets are available and the visit suits your party; otherwise consider an agreed valley or performance plan, or a different day. Yak Meadow remains excluded because of its reconstruction closure.
Choose your main experience
| Option | Suggested focus | What determines the final plan |
|---|---|---|
| Glacier Park priority | The high mountain visit, with other stops secondary | Ticket availability, operation, suitability for the group and time to return |
| Spruce Meadow after reopening, with an optional show | A different mountain setting and a reserved outdoor performance | Outside the announced 31 October–10 November 2026 closure only; reopening, compatible appointments, walking needs and weather |
| Show and a shorter scenic visit | Impression Lijiang with limited sightseeing | Entry and shuttle arrangements, performance time and preferred pace |
Blue Moon Valley can follow your main reservation when the transfer sequence and available time fit. Protect one cable-car choice rather than booking two competing mountain visits. The Yak Meadow ropeway stopped taking visitors on 4 March 2026 for reconstruction; it is excluded from this plan. Tell us whether the high mountain, forest setting or performance matters most, so the day can be shortened sensibly.
How the day would be organised
- Before departure: agree on the accessible pickup point for your hotel, the document and ticket confirmations, and the day’s operating information.
- Scenic-area arrival: allow time for entrance and the internal transport required for your chosen activity.
- Main activity: protect a realistic block for the selected cable car or performance, including queues and the journey back to the transfer point.
- Food and optional stops: include a proper break and only add sightseeing that fits your group’s pace.
- Return: meet at the agreed point and finish at the location named in the proposal. A train-station or airport drop-off must be arranged separately from a hotel return.
What your quotation should show
| Item | Details to agree |
|---|---|
| Road transport | Vehicle category, passenger and luggage capacity, pickup area, waiting period, parking and any extra charges |
| Driver and guide | Whether the arrangement is driver only or includes an accompanying guide, with the agreed language |
| Tickets | Scenic entrance, internal bus, exact cable car, optional performance and any local buggy, each listed separately |
| Food | Whether a meal is included and how dietary requirements are handled |
| Changes | Cancellation deadlines, weather-related changes and the treatment of individual ticket components |
A driver is not automatically an English-speaking guide. A private vehicle also does not imply private access within the scenic area. Ask for the part of the service you actually need: a straightforward return transfer, assistance coordinating reservations, or a guided day with cultural explanation.
Children, older travelers and luggage
Share children’s ages, any child-seat requirement, walking limitations and the number of suitcases before vehicle selection. For a stay within Lijiang’s old-town lanes, confirm the final walk between the room and the vehicle. If you are checking out, agree on bag storage and the day’s final drop-off before accepting the itinerary.
Outdoor seating, steps and transfer queues can matter as much as the chosen viewpoint. Explain those needs early so the proposed activity can be assessed realistically. Where health concerns affect high-altitude travel, seek individual medical advice before selecting the mountain option.
Food and a flexible return
For halal, vegetarian or allergy requirements, specify what you need rather than assuming a standard buffet is suitable. A meal plan should identify the arrangement in advance. Carry water, essential medication and a warm layer in a daypack even when large bags are stored elsewhere.
If a cable car is suspended or a performance changes, each component follows its own operating and ticket conditions. Agree on what can be substituted and which charges are refundable before payment. Do not make the day depend on a promise of guaranteed snow, a short queue or a successful last-minute ticket change.
Information to send
Send your preferred date, hotel or pickup point, numbers of adults and children, main mountain choice, interest in the show, meal and mobility requirements, luggage and final drop-off. Include any reservations already purchased. These details allow the itinerary and quote to be built around your actual trip.
Arrival at the scenic area and passport bookings
Keep the ticket collection location separate from the entrance shown on an old map. From 1 January 2026, the new visitor service centre handles on-site ticket sales. The former southwest main entrance is a ticket-checking point. Match the meeting place, admission arrangement and internal shuttle sequence before setting out.
For an overseas visitor, specify the document type used for the reservation and carry the corresponding original document. Ask how that reservation will be checked at the chosen attraction. Chinese identity-card instructions on an online product do not explain every passport procedure. Provide document details only through the secure process agreed for the actual booking.
Book the exact cableway and compatible entry slot before building the rest of the day. A scenic-area admission reservation does not itself secure a cable-car place. If the preferred slot is unavailable, choose another suitable experience or change the day before paying for incompatible components.
Mountain views, a forest walk or the valley?
The Glacier Park version gives the mountain visit priority. Keep the later walk optional and return when your group needs to. For dates after confirmed reopening, the Spruce Meadow version centres on its forest and meadow setting. It still involves altitude and walking after transport, so it should not be described as suitable for everybody.
A Blue Moon Valley visit without a mountain cableway is another route to discuss if you want valley scenery. Entrance, internal transport and walking remain part of that day. It does not promise the glacier viewpoint. If you prefer to remain in town, request a separate village outing rather than treating it as an identical substitute.
Impression Lijiang is optional. Its performance slot must leave room for the selected mountain visit, meal and return transport. A show cancellation and a cableway suspension can affect different ticket components. The written terms should explain each separately.
Common day-trip questions
Can we take both operating cableways in one day?
Choose one as the main experience. Two mountain reservations can leave the day dependent on queues, internal buses and appointment times. Add another outing on a separate day if both landscapes matter to you.
Does the driver come with us inside?
Only when accompaniment is explicitly arranged. Ask whether you have road transport, ticket assistance or an accompanying guide, and in which language. A vehicle booking alone does not settle those choices.
Can the day finish at the airport or station?
Request that end point before the quotation. Allow time to collect bags and make the connection. For a time-sensitive departure, shorten the sightseeing or leave the mountain visit for another day.
Compare the Jade Dragon cable-car and ticket guide before selecting your main activity. For a different local day, compare the Yuhu Village walking day tour; it does not include a mountain cableway.
Request a Lijiang mountain-day proposal with your date, hotel, party size, children’s ages, preferred experience, luggage, walking needs and onward travel.

Daily Itinerary
Meet at the agreed road-accessible pickup point in Lijiang. At the scenic area, follow the ticket and internal transport arrangement for your chosen experience. Give the selected operating mountain experience its own visiting block, with the walking length adjusted to your party. Spruce Meadow is excluded during the announced 31 October–10 November 2026 ropeway closure; later visits require confirmed reopening and tickets.
Take a meal break. Add Blue Moon Valley or Impression Lijiang only when the confirmed appointments and return journey fit comfortably. Yak Meadow is excluded while its ropeway is closed for reconstruction. If an operating component changes, use the agreed alternative or cancellation terms.
Return to the pickup area named in your offer. A station, airport or different-city finish requires a separate transport plan. Stay: no hotel night included. Meals: only those expressly itemised in the written offer.
